The Maus never reached the battlefield. Only two prototypes were ever completed, and neither fired a shot in anger. Yet it remains one of the most recognisable vehicles of the Second World War — the largest tank ever built, a machine so heavy it could barely cross a bridge under its own weight.

This micro-scale brass casting captures that unmistakable silhouette: the vast, flat hull, the oversized turret, the sheer improbable bulk of it — rendered at 28mm long and just 6.5 grams. It fits on a fingertip, but the proportions are immediately readable to anyone who knows the vehicle.

For WWII diorama builders, collectors of rare or prototype German armour, or paint-your-own hobbyists looking for something genuinely unusual — this is a piece with history behind it. Position it alone on a base, or set it among other late-war German armour for a “what-if” display that never quite was.

Caring for Your Brass

Brass develops a natural patina over time — a sign of age and character, not damage. To keep the original shine, wipe occasionally with a soft dry cloth. For a deeper clean, a small amount of brass polish or a paste of lemon juice and baking soda works well. Avoid prolonged moisture or harsh chemicals. The more it’s handled, the warmer its glow becomes.

A small amount of blu-tack or double-sided tape can help it sit perfectly on your shelf.

Each piece is individually cast, so minor variations may occur.

DDP (USA), Import Tax (Euro), is included with Shipping (when is checkout)
